for the Class of 2022
Take the stress out of writing your college essay over the summer or in the fall when classes resume by signing up for a Virtual College Pod! Space is limited to allow for more focused assistance.
Session Topic: THE COLLEGE ESSAY
Program Description: Student pods take place over a one-month period.
Four (4) meetings take place per month - 2 group sessions that are informative/working sessions with the group as a whole and 2 individual sessions with the student to provide feedback on the list or essay. All sessions are virtual.
Pod Group Meetings: Each pod meets (virtually) as a group 2x month. These sessions are focused on working and discussing the topic for that month. Each session is 1.5 hours. These sessions will take place April 8th and April 22nd.
Individual Student Meetings: Individual meetings with students take place twice a month to check on student progress as well as providing feedback on both the essay that the student has developed. Ongoing feedback is provided electronically via email at least once a week. These sessions will be scheduled based on student’s availability.
Parent Meetings: Parent meetings take place twice during the pod period: once at the start of the pod and the second time toward the end of the pod. These sessions will be scheduled based on parent’s availability.
Pod Outcome: At the completion of the four weeks, students will have a well developed final draft of their college essay to use with their college applications. The college essay takes the most time to develop - use this month to do the work and make your fall - and summer - less stressful. Students must complete all 4 weeks of assigned meetings and work in order to obtain a final draft of their college essay with final feedback and comments at the end of the month.
Cost of the program: $50/week
